Meet the Staff

Kyle Hastbacka

Associate Director, New Student Experience

Kyle has a B.A. in Criminal Justice and Political Science as well as a M.S. in Leadership and is from Weston, FL. As the Associate Director of New Student Experience, he is responsible for the overall operations of the NSE team to onboard and engage all incoming new students from their deposit at Plymouth State through their entire first year at the university. These programs include Summer Orientation, Panther Days, Winter Orientation, and Plymouth Jackpot Bingo. When not on campus, Kyle enjoys traveling and spending time with his dog, Cooper.

Colby Verrill

Orientation Student Coordinator & Intern, New Student Experience

Colby is a Junior from Rockland, ME, majoring in Elementary Education. His positions support the NSE Office by facilitating opportunities to engage first-year students, tracking data, and disseminating information regarding Plymouth Jackpot Bingo, as well as assisting in the planning and implementation of New Student Orientation and Panther Days. Colby is typically found in the Hartman Union Building (HUB) most hours of the day.

Ian Manning

Orientation Student Coordinator

Ian is a Sophomore from Tilton, NH, majoring in Biology with a minor in Music. As one of our 2022-23 Orientation Student Coordinators, Ian supports our office through recruiting and training this year’s Orientation Leaders to prepare them for Summer Orientation and Panther Days. Ian can often be found in the Silver Center for the Arts singing, laughing, or falling up the main stairwells.

Molly McAllister

Intern, Leadership Development

Molly is a Junior from Windham, ME, majoring in Social Work. Her position as the Leadership Development Intern focuses on student engagement and helping students find where they belong here at PSU. Molly is President of the Social Work Club, a member of the Plymouth Activities Council for Students (PACs), and the Vice Speaker of the Student Government Association. She cannot live without iced coffee and can always be found in the Hartman Union Building (HUB).

Colin Mengold

Programming Intern; Past Orientation Student Coordinator

Colin is a Senior from Shelton, CT, majoring in Accounting and minoring in Economics. As our Programming Intern, he supports executing all New Student Experience programming. He previously served as one of our Orientation Student Coordinators and an Orientation Leader. He is a former wrestler who participates in many Campus Rec programs. When not in class or at the gym, Colin is an avid gamer.

Kaci Cochran

Programming Intern; Past Orientation Student Coordinator

Kaci is a Senior from McIndoe Falls, VT majoring in Music Education. As our office’s former Orientation Student Coordinator, Kaci proactively supported all aspects of the planning and implementation of New Student Orientation and Panther Days. He utilized his leadership skills to instruct and inspire Orientation Leaders to be engaging, helpful, and confident. He spends most of his time in the Silver Center for the Arts as a student house manager, but in his spare time loves cooking, traveling, and doing puzzles.
